Channel Manager - Overview

RezEasy's Channel Manager module automatically updates your inventory and rates in the Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and Last Minute Booking Sites where you list your rooms. Reservations taken on these sites are automatically added to RezEasy's database and inventory is reduced in RezEasy and all connected channels thus avoiding double booking. This removes the need to make manual updates. When you make reservations in RezEasy the inventory is automatically pushed to each channel.

RezEasy currently supports 9 channel managers. These are:

• Channel Managers using Open Travel Alliance (OTA) XML data:

• RateTiger

• Siteminder

• Channel Managers using proprietary XML data:
• Octorate
• Reseliva

• Channel Managers to be added in the future:
• WuBook
• Zodomus

Important Note Regarding Currency

When you set up the individual GDS channels it is important that you set the channel to your use your home currency (i.e. the one you use in the hotel and have set in RezEasy). You should also ensure that all GDS channels are set to the same currency. When rates are sent (RezEasy->Channel Manager->GDS Channels) and reservations are received (GDS Channels->Channel Manager->RezEasy) errors will occur if the currency is set to different values.
